Downloading a GPX file from a Strava Activity

So you want to create a map from someone else's Strava activity, perhaps as a gift for them, but you can't download the GPX file. Here's how.

If you're lucky, you might see a 'GPX' button on already on the Strava map:

You can use a website browser on your computer (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, or Explorer for example) and you need to go to this page:

https://mapstogpx.com/strava/

Firstly you need to make sure you can see your bookmarks bar or list (you should be able to go to 'Bookmarks' > 'Show Bookmarks' to enable this in your browser.

You then need to drag the pink 'Strava to GPX' button to your bookmarks bar.

Once you have done this, you can go to the Strava activity in the same browser.

Now click the "Strava to GPX" bookmark that you created. Select "Full" and click 'Yeah, GPX me" to download. You can now upload this file into our map designer.
